Straight from Other Black Sheep
I feel like this program was made for me. I allowed me to keep my career while being in treatment. Now I’m in recovery, back with my wife and kids. Life is good!
I was always considered the Black Sheep of the family. But that just made things worse. So, I used drugs and alcohol to escape. Until a friend recommended Steve. That’s when my suffering stopped, and I took control of my life.
Steve helped me to really understand how my alcoholism worked in me and my thinking. For the first time in a long time, I had hope!
Since Steve had been through it himself, I felt like he really understood what I was going through.
Talking to my therapist helped me see that old issues still affected me even today. It was such a relief to finally resolve them!
We were good parents, but everything went sideways with our daughter. Drugs, alcohol, disobedient, you know, she had become a nightmare. We didn’t even recognize her anymore! Now she’s clean and sober for 6 months!
I had been in an abusive marriage. My therapist helped me see how deeply it affected my mood and outlook. He helped me move past that trauma and I am much happier and enjoy my life as never before.
What is your Covid vaccination policy?
For the safety of all clients and staff, we require all to be fully vaccinated (please submit copy of vaccination card at initial session). As circumstances unfold, we will address these issues with everyone’s safety as our top priority.
How long is your program?
Our program is a 12-week program. Clients are expected to plan on making the full commitment to that time frame when entering treatment.
Where are you located?
How does billing work?
We can provide you with invoices to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. We do not bill your insurance company to pay us directly. Clients pay for services weekly.
Will insurance cover my treatment?
Insurers vary on the reimbursements for mental health services. Please contact your carrier for specific details on their reimbursement policy.
Do you do drug testing?
We offer drug testing to support clients who are trying to abstain from substance abuse. It is not a requirement.
What’s the difference between treatment at BlackSheep Addiction Therapy and inpatient treatment?
Inpatient treatment requires a person to leave their home and basically suspend their personal and work lives while engaged in treatment. There are often “blackout periods” where clients may not interact with outside family/work contacts. BlackSheep Addiction Treatment does not require any of that. At BlackSheep Addiction Treatment, clients live at home while attending the program, because we offer outpatient treatment not inpatient treatment.
Is treatment confidential? Does my boss/spouse/family have to know?
Each client decides who outside of treatment will have access to their treatment information. Releases are then executed by the client as needed to facilitate those contacts being made by the treatment team. Often it can help support rebuilding trust if family or work can hear from our treatment team about a client’s progress in treatment. Again, this is totally up to the client.
Do I have to make separate appointments for the medication/psychiatric support?
Our program is convenient! Medication management time with our psychiatrist occurs as an adjunct service when you come for weekly group therapy sessions.
When can I start?
Are there any requirements before I begin?
Before beginning, all that will be required is completing a program intake questionnaire, providing proof of vaccination, and funding source for weekly program fees.
